Origin
The origin of the legions of the first foundation is closely related to the birth of the Imperium and legendary times, when the eternal emperor was found among ordinary people. The complete truth about what was happening in those days is hidden from us, remaining only in ancient legends of orders, which are meticulously stored by cosmic landing libraries and, possibly, in endless storages of the Holy Library in the Holy Terra. Under the pressure of ten thousand years of history, there are few facts, and hypotheses – on the contrary, have a lot. Only this is known.
The dark angels were the first legion of the cosmic landing, created by the emperor to participate in the great crusade, whose purpose was to free the human race from aliens and dominance of the Dark Gods. Their victories were included in many legends, and despite some dubious rumors regarding the history of the Order, the Dark Angels were considered the greatest of all the orders of space landing. In those days, the reputation of each of the orders of the first foundation depended greatly on the personal qualities of their primarch, and the dark angels were no exception.
The cosmic landing libraries have preserved stories about the emperor’s creation of the first primarchs. These stories say as an emperor, uncontrollable in his blessed divinity, re -united the scattered tribes of Terra torn by wars, and led them along the path of light. He realized that the time had come to unite all of humanity scattered through the galaxy during the era of discord. But he also knew that he himself could not do this, since although he was great, he could not be at all points of the galaxy at the same time. Therefore, he began to create primarchs – the first. They were his sons by blood, although they were not an absolute copy of him. Each primarch was created to be the leader of people, a warrior and a hero, filled with wisdom and full of strength, both physical and spiritual. The followers of the emperor had to lead humanity away from dark forces directly to the Golden Age.
But a disaster prevented the emperor to complete the work on the moon, where he conducted research. Enhanced primarchs disappeared, scattered through the interstellar space. There are a lot of stories and legends about the scattered galaxy. Some say that the Dark Gods learned about the plans of the emperor and decided to destroy the not born of the primarchs, but only succeeded in separating them. Others are inclined to believe that the emperor himself arranged so that the primarchs turned out to be left to their own devices, and study their lives independently, far from reliable ceramic walls of laboratories. And finally, there are those who claim that the primarys themselves decided to try to do without the concern of the emperor, looking for knowledge one by one.
Most likely, only the emperor himself knows the truth. It is only known that after this event, he began genetic changes in ordinary people, using the preserved genetic primary. Thus, the first legion of the cosmic landing was created, which joined the emperor in his capture of the Galaxy.
The Libraries of the Dark Angels restored ancient legends about how their primarchs, who later received the name of Leo El’jonson, was found on their lost planet to the Motherland – a beautiful but terrible world Caliban. Caliban had a strong influence of mutation and decomposition of the possessions of chaos, making it one of the most deadly worlds of the galaxy. According to the laws of logic, the primarch-divine should never have survived in this world. How he succeeded, no one knows, since El’jonson never talked about his early years of his life in Caliban.
Leo Eljonson
Caliban was inhabited by proud and warlike people who lived and fattened with a sword in their hands. The surface of the caliban was covered with dense forests, which inhabited a variety of terrible creatures, the appearance of which was even worse, with the advent of chaos. The ferocity of these creatures forced the inhabitants of the planet to build stone fortresses on extensive cuts. In these fortresses was the military elite of Caliban, who ruled the planet.
The “Legend of Luther” tells how a detachment of knights, known just as an order, found a primarch-dity in the forest. The commander of the order, a young man named Luther, brought the primarch to the fortress-monastery of the Order and gave him the name Leo El’jonson, which means "Leo, son of the forest". El’jonson easily fit into human society, having studied its customs, and in record time was mastered on the planet-Rodin. Time passed, El’jonson and Luther made friends like two brothers, their abilities and skills perfectly complemented each other. Stories about their exploits and adventures became known throughout Caliban, and the number of young people who wanted to join the Order grew every year.
Imperial scientists claim that https://nongamstopcasinosites.co.uk/review/betfoxx/ at that time El’jonson organized a planetary crusade against the forest forces of Chaos who infected the forest. All the great masters of the monasteries joined this campaign, and in just ten years the whole planet was cleared of dark forces. Freed from chaos tyranny, Planet Caliban began to prosper, and El’jonson was proclaimed the supreme master of the order, ruler of Caliban. It is also said that although Luther openly and rejoiced at the exaltation of El’jonson, he secretly envied him. His envy grew every day and led to the fact that one fine day it destroyed almost everything that he and El’jonson created.
While El’jonson and Luther fought with the creations of chaos in the forests of the planet, the emperor with the legions of the cosmic landing returned the Galaxy to the power of the Imperium in his great crusade. When the emperor reached Caliban, El’jonson immediately recognized his relationship with him, and the emperor reunited with one of the lost primarchs. In accordance with the apocryphus of Scaros, El’jonson received at the disposal of the Legion of the Dark Angels of Cosmic Troops. The warriors of the order also wished to join the angels, and soon almost all the former soldiers of the order became cosmic paratroopers. It is believed that Luther was the first to receive such an honor, and he was only the second legion commander after El’jonson. When the emperor left Caliban to continue the Great Crusade, he took El’jonson with him and most of the Legion of the Dark Angels. Luther and the rest of the legion remained to defend their planet-Rodin from a possible invasion of chaos. The description of these events can be found in the archives of the Imperium, however, information about the subsequent history of the dark angels and the terrible betrayal is hidden under the cover of secrets. Only a limited circle of dark angels and, perhaps, the highest ranks of the Inquisition know how Luther committed betrayal, which led to the separation of the legion.
Betrayal!
The Great Crusade continued its victorious procession, and the world in the world obeyed the dark angels. Stories about the victories of El’jonson and the glory that he got in battle reached all corners of the galaxy. A little envy, which nested in the chest of Luther, who continued to sit at a Caliban freely, increased with each such story until, in the end, it turned into all -consuming hatred. He had to sit on some god of a forgotten planet, which, in his opinion, insulted him. Over time, the noble knight Luther turned into an evil, hateful man.
When the heresy of Horus began, and many legions of the cosmic landing turned against the emperor, El’jonson fought next to Leman Russ, Primarch of Cosmic Wolves. When they learned about the betrayal of Horus, they postponed a long -standing enmity, collected legions and decided to return to Earth. But the journey turned out to be too long and difficult, so when they finally arrived, the battle for the earth was already over and the traitors were defeated. The price of victory was too high. The Imperium was lying in the ruins, and the emperor was so wounded that he had to place him in a life -supporting mechanism of the Golden Throne. El’jonson was very saddened by the fact that he did not manage to arrive on time and protect the emperor from the betrayal of Horus, and, burning with shame, decided to return to Caliban, for the first time in many years of campaign.
But when the ships of the Dark Angels, who have undergone monstrous trials of distant wanderings, entered the orbit of their planet-rodes, they were met by the fire of ground protective batteries from the surface of the planet. The exploding ships filled the heaven of Caliban, flashing like meteors in the sky of the planet. In confusion, the fleet moved away from Caliban, and El’jonson tried to find out what happened to his planet while he wandered in space. It turned out that he was simply betrayed. It is this secret that dark angels so zealously keep, doing anything to keep it secret.
For several decades, while El’jonson was on the campaign, Luther decomposed the souls of Caliban’s warriors, radiating his anger and envy on them until they were rooted in the minds of the Calibans as much as in his own. Being a wonderful speaker, he was able to inspire them with all -consuming hatred of those who stole their glory and left them on the planet, absolutely not caring about their future fate. It should be noted that in reality, like a chorus and other traitors, Luther actually fell under the influence of chaos. His pride and arrogance turned out to be quite enough for the dark gods who made him their servant.
About what the primarch felt then, you can only guess. Just imagine – El’jonson, who fought the forces of chaos throughout the galaxy and defeated them, found his nest on his own beloved planet. When El’jonson recognized the truth, his rage knew no boundaries. His ships approached the planet of traitors and began a massive bombardment of its surface. Forests flared up, and the earth shuddered when ships and ground defensive structures began a merciless duel with each other. Little, the defense began to succumb, and, finally, El’jonson ordered to start a direct invasion, personally leading the attack on Caliban. With heart -burning heart, he stepped to the surface of the planet.
The fallen dark angels retreated to the huge fortress-monastery of the Order, and El’jonson had no remaining nothing more than his warriors on his own house, knowing that only there he could find Luther.
Primarch met with his ex -brother, and realized that he was forever lost for him, dark energy crushed this once noble and honest man. Compared to ordinary people, the primarch was a living god, however, Luther was not much behind Him – that which he lacked like a man successfully filled the dark forces, endowing him with power and made El’jonson approximately equal in strength. Two warriors collided in battle, so fierce that they did not see such a battle either before or after. The ancient house of the Order under the ongoing bombing of the Fleet of the Dark Angels, who shot him from orbit, was turned into a bunch of crushed stone, among which two were continued to fight above the warriors. And such a fierce and terrifying battle was that the surface of Caliban itself began to crack and break along the lines of geological faults. Dark angels blinded by fury, in fact, destroyed their own world.
Only the master of the Dark Angels know something else, but they do not tell anyone about it, even their brothers. However, in the old Codicium Astartes Mortis or the Code of Death Angels, part of Luther’s battle with El’jonson is described.
"(They) fought with superhuman fury, and were approximately equal in strength … In the end, Luther made a mistake, and his neck turned out to be open to (blow) his brother. When Luther fell, El’jonson raised his sword high, but (even shifted by rage) could not strike a mortal blow. Luther did not possess such remorse, and, seeing the confusion of El’jonson, threw a category of terrible witchcraft energy into him, which mortally wounded the primarch … Now Luther stood over the defeated (lion), but, looking at his dying torment, and at his face distorted by pain, suddenly felt as a dark veil, and he was completely filled with his eyes. the measure realized his betrayal. He not only betrayed his friend, his legion and his emperor, he betrayed the nobility of his own heart. Shocked, he threw aside the weapon and fell next to the dying El’jonson. His mind darkened from the awareness of the horror of what he did ".
Around the caliban, the space suddenly shuddered when the dark forces realized that they had lost the battle again. Further, according to the notes, the huge rage of these forces broke through the herself of reality around the Caliban, and the warp storm of terrifying power spun around the dying planet.
The whirlwind of chaotic energy merged in a huge whirlpool, the center of which was Caliban. Terrible earthquakes tore the body of the planet, and, finally, unable to withstand, she split into pieces. Huge pieces of the planet were crushed into a small, meteor stream, which once had a planet, for some time twisted a warp-scheme, and then they were all protracted into the black failure of Varpa.
Dark Angels believed that the entire surface of the planet was destroyed, but soon they discovered a destroyed castle, which had come off on a small asteroid. According to "Codicium Astartes Mortis":
“When the dark angels landed on a dead asteroid, they found Luther, who, curled up in the pose of the embryo, constantly repeated the same phrase. Again and again, he said that those who looked from the darkness took the primarch, but someday he would return to forgive Luther’s sins. Cosmic paratroopers carefully examined the asteroid, but the primarch never found. Leo El’jonson disappeared without a trace ".
After the destruction of Caliban, the highest ranks of the Order gathered a secret council on which they decided that no one should know about the events of this terrible betrayal. No living soul outside the order should even guess about this terrifying shame for the dark angels, some of which turned towards chaos. If someone finds out about this, the entire order will most likely be destroyed, and all the hopes for restoring them on the tarnished name will be lost.
The internal circle of the order was created, consisting of the most important officers who were entrusted with protecting secret knowledge, and each of them brought an indestructible oath of silence. Lutherov traitors, fallen dark angels, disappeared in the vast vast during the cataclysm. The rage of dark gods scattered them in time and space. And until every fallen angel is captured and destroyed, there will be no rest for the true sons of Leo. As long as at least one fallen remains alive, the order will remain not forgiven, forever damned because of the madness of their brothers, who committed the unforgivable sin of betrayal in the distant past.
